Dr. R. Chandra (known as Dr. Rakesh Chandra Agrawal to his college friends), received his graduation degree in medicine and, later, doctor of medicine degree in the speciality of Psychiatry form King George's Medical College (KGMC), Lucknow, U.P., India, in 1987. After getting specialisation in Psychiatry, he has worked for several years in "Hospital for Mental diseases" (now rechristened as "Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences"), Shahdara, Delhi, India, in the capacity of Psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer and has been closely associated with treatment of chronic cases and medico-legal cases, besides general psychiatric cases. Now, in private practice, he is closely associated with clinical work in general psychiatry (all types of behavioural disorderds) including problems of childhood and old age.
